Father has gall stones?

My dads been in and out of hospital for weeks now.
He had the chills, high fevers, yellowing skin, pain in the right of his chest and nausea.
At firs the doctors said it was a urine infection, then a kidney infection, then pneumonia, then an amoebic liver abscess..
Theyre still conducting tests on him (MRI, ultrasound and blood cultures) but so far we havent had any news whatsoever.
Theyve sent him back home with antibiotics saying that he'll heal better in a friendly environment but how can he heal from something they dont know?
Ive been doing some research and think he may have gall stones, any advice on how to treat him at home if the doctors arent doing anything?

Great investigative work! Maybe you are right, and I hope you are- for your father's sake.

Ask the docs to run the tests for gall stones.

They should have seen them on the MRI and ultrasound. I had to drink "chalk" and swallow while they took x-rays before they found mine.
