Strep throat? is streptococcus deadly? links to other illnesses? ocd? |
When i was roughly 7 years old i came down with a terrible case of strep throat, it was almost in a day. I was admitted to the hospital and doctors immediately removed my tonsils as there was an abscess, at this point i was very ill, i was told i had a stretococcus infection that didnt need oxygen to survive i believe??? im not too sure, it took the doctors a while to figure out what i had, i was almost airlifted to a larger hospital. How dangerous could this have been? life threatening? the reason im asking is i was recently diagnosed with a mild form of ocd nothing major but still the doctors think there might be a casual relation from this, i had obessessive tendencies when i was young as well, mainly they were inward intrusive thoughts, any help would be great, thankyou There have been some studies linking Strep with OCD. There are differing opinions on whether this is an accurate diagnosis. It is said to run in families. If you are still having trouble with OCD, see a psychologist or psychiatrist for behavorial therapy. |

Trust me you would know if it was an abcess, the... the quickest way to deal with an ulcer is to gargle with salt water ...i speak from experience on this and have tried just about every supposed cure ...salt water works the best ulcers can ... I've had that....it was HORRID!! The only thing that worked for me was Vicodin....you should be able to call the dentist that you have an appt with and they should call you in a prescription.... Go on the NHS website! They will have details of how to complain!! But to be honest don't expect to get far!! That is don't expect to receive compensation for the shobby work!! Only cases...
