My mouth is really hurting?!?

Ok this morning I was fine, but this afternoon right side of my mouth (right at the back, behind my teeth) started hurting, and now im in agony!
Its not the gum behind my teeth it the soft-ish bit behind that (sorry I cant be more specific!).
Could it be an abscess?
Thanks

yes,,it could be an abscess...when it swells up,there will be no pain..you need antibiotics,asap....meanwhile,get a whisky in your mouth,where the pain is,and keep it there,for about 5 mins..sometimes it works..good luck..mary.c.

swish with mouth wash or put some colgain numbing stuff on there....

Rub with salt and gargle with salt water.. todays X-mas and call me in the morning!!

ur wisdom tooth is coming through..ouch...

wisdom tooth
if ur a teen

when was ur last dentist appointment

Floss GOOD and rinse with warm saltwater. If it were an abscess, you'd feel a very strong DEEP ache in the bone--there's no mistaking.
