Broken tooth, severe facial pain? |
One of my wisdom teeth broke a couple of months ago. I have an appointment to have them all pulled next month, but in the meantime I have severe pain on that side of my face, particularly my ear and temple. Should I be concerned, or just suck it up until they are pulled? The tooth doesn't appear abscessed. The best way to get toothache relief is to see an emergency dentist right away. If you can't do this, there are some things that you can do until you can. Oil of Cloves reduces toothache pain when placed directly into a tooth cavity. You can soak a small cotton ball with the oil and place it into the offending tooth cavity. Dentists mix oil of cloves with zinc oxide to create a white paste that makes a soothing temporary filling. Placing ice or ice water on a tooth reduces the inflammation and can possibly help with the pain. Get it pulled asap. An infection could be deadly. NOW!!! Yes you should be concerned. You may need immediate treatment. very painful when you eat. yes you should be concerned. go to the doctor ASAP. i had my wisdom teeth pulled not to long ago and felt so much better afterwards. you may need antibiotics. call the dentist maybe he can call them in take 800 mgs of ibuprofen if you are not allergic. It sounds like you need an antibiotic. You should call a dentist now as he won't pull it if it is infected..... Why should you be in pain until next month? Call the Dentist NOW and tell him about it, he may pull it sooner, and check for infection- you probably have an exposed NERVE and hello? they HURT! call your dentist and have him take care of it now. Don't let these people scare you. Although you aren't in any real danger you should call your dentist and try to get an early appointment. Well without an xray you can't know if it is abcessed. It sounds like it is and you should have it extracted immediately! before you end up with a severe systemic infection! Good luck! |
