Abscesses or pimple???

My 13 year old sister confided to me that she has a small bump growing near her vaginal area.
It is not the first time, she had it once but it just disappeared by itself.
She does not have sex before and so it could not be that she has genital warts.

Does she have abscesses or is it just a pimple??

Just for extra information, she strated menstruating at 12,and does not want to see the doctor.
If you think she has Abscesses..can you please recommend any home remedy?

It is very common to get "sweat bumps" after one begins menstruating, It is cause by the feminine hygeine pad rubbing on the skin and also elastic irritating the skin. if she is a virgin then it won't be that serious. She should talk to your mother or another adult female family member for advice, it's nothing to be ashamed of and every young girl goes through these things. Just tell her to practice good hygeine by bathing and cleaning and making sure she rinses all soap or other bath products away from the area with clean water. it's best to shower from now on and don't use bubble baths very often some people have suggested shaving but i wouldn't do that it could make things more uncomfortable.

Tell her to shave her pubic hair after every 2 weeks or use a hair removing cream .it usually is a macule (pimple ) but keep it v clean .wash it with soap .if its not painful ,this means there is no infection or abscess .but after 3-4 days if it doesn't disappear puss can form in it .so try to avoid that .if puss forms she will have to use antibiotic ointment .is it painful ??keep in clean with soap or with betadine if u have access to that .it is caused by sweat or pulling of pubic hair

Shaving can really aggravate whatever is going on there. Genital warts can possibly be transmitted without sex (ie. sharing towel with infected person), but not an extreme likelihood of this happening.

It could be a pimple, ingrown hair, abscess, or bartholin's cyst. Not too much can be done to prevent any of those things from occuring. You can try warm, moist compresses. It will help bring whatever it in there up to the surface. A little neosporin on there wouldn't be a bad idea.

If all that fails, and/or if she's in pain or starts to feel sick, break down and call the doctor.

If she is shaving down there, it could be an ingrown hair. it will just go away on it's own.
