Anyone know of a surgeon that can cure abscesses?

Also if there are any perticular foods that cause them to flare up, what kind o f foods to avoid adn what helps.

thanks

this is not 4 me it is 4 someone else, she keeps getting them adn she has had operations, she needs a good surgeon adn different type of food to try

an abscess is an infection so all she needs is to keep the foods that makes it flare up away form her as if she were allergic to it (which may be the case) , if she can get her to stick mostly to fruits and vegetables as those help fight infections , try to stray from meats if possible. any doctor can treat an abscess and prescribe antibiotics (probably omoxicillan ) for it to be cured for a while. hope this helps.

Any reputable surgeon can help you. Are you a diabetic or do you have an immune deficiency? This needs investigation and a good course of antibiotics to which your germs are sensitive on culture.

i once had an abscess in my throat and I went to the ER n all they do is stick a needle in it n pop it as they would do a pimple. As for curing I don鈥檛 think that it鈥檚 a disease to cure. Its just something that happens-built up bacteria that just causes a bump. Nothing to worry about, u should be able to go to any hospital ER and they will be able to extract it and give u antibiotics n u will be on ur way. I dont think that any foods cause it but im not an expert. Just go as soon as possible so that it doesn鈥檛 continue to grow n u get in to more problems for waiting. Hope u feel better n good luck!!!

So, there are a lot of questions to be asked before answering this. What type of abscess: dental, cutaneous, otic, abdominal, etc.? How bad is it? Has it opened up or is it still closed? Where is it? There are too many unknowns. You may not need a surgeon. You might get by with a good poultice to draw out the toxins. You might need antibiotics. A good Epsom salt soak may do the trick. See what I mean?
As far as food goes ... Once again where is the abscess? In the gut? You need to see a specialist. If it is external, then a diet with plenty of protein, low sugar, low fat would be good. Each person's diet is very individual as to what you need or should avoid. Pay attention to how you feel and function when you eat or go see a really competent nutritionist.
If you could be more specific, it would help get you some better answers. Sorry I couldn't help more.
