Abscess returning???? |
I had a perirectal adscess drained at the beginning of December. The abscess healed and I was feeling better but this weekend I had a blood filled bump come up on the scar from the abscess. It popped and it has been draining since then. When I called the after hours number for the surgeon he said it sounds like a secondary infection to the first one and that I will need to have surgery to fix the issue this time. Has anyone ever had this issue and if so how long did it take before you were feeling better? Yes this can happen, so go for surgery. Good Luck I had a pilonidal cyst, similar to what you are taling about. They did many lance and drain procedures before going ahead with surgery. Once I had surgery the issue cleared and I havn't had any reoccurence. Post-Op it was a good two weeks before sitting was remotely comfortable, but that is to be expected. |
