Ok this is a poll for school..... When is a baby a baby and not just a fetus?

I am now 32 weeks along and at my 30 week ultra sound i gat to see my baby Yawning. Now I know life sux for many of us and that ppl can still have partal birth abortions, but, if my baby is doing things like this dosent it prove that life begins in the womb? When is a life well a life? I need both side of the story for this so if you know of facts that might help feel free to add em.

P.S. I know that my baby is alive from the get go i just need to get some info for my report.

WOOE!!!!! NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL THIS IS FOR MY COLLAGE CRIT?THINKING CLASS I AM MARRIED LOL!!!!!!

The virus that causes AIDS is also alive; however, I would be very happy if science could find a way to kill it. Is that wrong? Heck no!

More than 98% of third trimester abortions are performed to save the mother's life or because the fetus is not viable/able to live or is horribly damaged. Those abortions to me are a sacred act preserving the life of a living, breathing, loving woman with family, rights, dreams, potential, and so much more.

Not a billion fetuses could ever equal her individual worth.

Human life, differing from basic cellular life, and humanity begins after the fetus is born and becomes a baby. Never before.

Also, if you are still in school and pregnant, you have made the biggest mistake of your life. Sorry.

Fetus: unborn offspring: an unborn vertebrate at a stage when all the structural features of the adult are recognizable, especially an unborn human offspring after eight weeks of development

Baby: 1. very young child: a very young child who is not yet able to walk or talk
2. unborn child: a child that is still in the womb
3. childish person: somebody who behaves childishly or is overly dependent on others
told him not to be such a baby
4. youngest member: the youngest member of a family or group
5. immature animal: a very young animal
6. term of endearment: an affectionate term of endearment, especially for a woman (slang) (sometimes considered offensive)
7. something regarded with affection or pride: something or somebody regarded with affection, pride, or admiration (slang)

Science has one opinion, and people have theirs. They vary so much that I dont believe you will get any straight answers.

well it depends on who you ask...the LAW says it's a baby after 12 weeks... But I think a life is a life at conception!

Everyones opinion varies. I think 'fetus' is a term used to make it less personal. A baby gets fingerprints at about 100days. A baby has a heart beat after a few weeks. Many ppl, I think I'll include myself in this one, believe that a baby is a baby when he/she has a heart beat.

FYI: I'm not against abortion in the 1st trimester but a partial birt abortion really is like killing a baby to me. Sorry for the extra info but I felt like I had to add that.

Good Luck.
