What does it mean when a new born baby gets a shot in its....?

what does it mean when a new born baby gets a shot,like...a needle injection, right when they are born (inside the delivery room as soon as they get out) inside of they're head? What type of thing is this? and what is its purose? I mean people get shots in the bottom and in the arm...what is the purpose for getting a shot in a persons head, and a new born at that? and i really mean in the head, not in the neck or near the head, like on the top of the babies head. throught the soft scull i mean. And what countries do this...does this happen to babies born with a health problem or maybe children born to military parents?
and I'm NOT talking about abortions either...I mean this baby is hear and growing up now
