Abortion......? |
lol no i am not pregnant i'm doing a rsearch paper about abortion. ^//////^ ok what can pregnancy d for your health... like i have ( depression and emotional stress) i would forever be in your debt if you tell me how unplanned pregnancy can affec your helth (mental or physical) THANKS!!!! <3 There is something called post abortion stress syndrome and I can tell you first hand, its real. It manifests itself in all sorts of ways, differently depending on the woman. There is a lot of guilt, low self esteem, punishing behaviors (overeating, drugs) and a lot of times the symptoms go on for years before you even realize why or what you are experiencing. There are some great testimonies of post abortive women on silentnomore.org. your body is forever affected (stretch marks, extra skin, bigger feet, wider hips). post-partum is even worse than the emotions during. if there are complications during (preeclampsia, placental rupture, breach, etc) the mother's life is in danger. if the pregnancy was unwanted to begin with, why take the risks. then ther is the after...just how much can/will a mother love the child they didn't want? do they have family support to help them after (especially if a c-section...major surgery with its own possibility of complications)? will they end up in a low income/state aid situation where the taxpayers are now charged with providing for them. Go to Planned Parenthood website and read some of their brochures about unplanned pregnancies. Pregnancy is a stressor for every female - both mental and physical. You want the baby to be as healthy as you possibly can help it to do, you wonder if you are eating the right things, are you geting enough sleep. Am I going to be able to care for this new life when it is born? If not married, how is my family going to take this, how am I going to raise a baby by myself. How am I going to buy the things a baby needs. The questions go on and on and most people ask themselves these questions. Google "unplanned pregnancy" and look at all the information out there. Go to WebMd and look up "pregnancy" and find out what a woman's body and hormones go through to carry a baby. There is a huge amount of information out there if you do the research. Good luck. i don't know about physical, but mentally, unplanned pregnancy can bring a huge amount of stress, even if one decides to turn to abortion, she would still feel stressful. |
