Abortion grieving?

I have had friends when I was in high school who have had abortions and it really messed with their mind like really bad but me not ever being pregnant nor having children Im trying to find out how and why would that affect them so bad... its not to term yet (I hope im not being or sounding cocky) Has anyone had an abortion and did it affect you? How? and why did you consider an abortion or why didnt you consider the abortion? what are some reasons some women hide there pregnancy? would you agree with hiding a pregnancy?

a lot of the time people feel bad because it's been hammered into their head that it's " so wrong" "killing a baby" and trying to make them feel guilty about their choice.

My friend had an abortion recently. She was not ready to be a mother ( please spare me the whole bs, how then she should not have been ready to have sex).
She found out very early, and frankly felt relieved.

People hide their pregnancy because they are terrified that usually their parents will find out and be mad at them. That on top of dealing with being pregnant they will have a lecture on why they should not have sex.

Because fetus' actually form an attachment to you. Or rather, you to it. Most people actually have emotional problems afterwards.

Not because it's "hammered in your head" that abortions are wrong, but rather because their bodies were adjusting to having the baby, and the sudden termination has the same chemical/hormonal affect as a miscarriage.

Besides physical damage (many a great doctors have done much a great damage to women), you should worry about your mental health. You've given your child plenty of time to become part of your body.

I know a girl who had one because the baby messed up her six pack.

I know a girl who had one because she wanted a baby girl to be her heir, not a boy.

Somebody had one because they "couldn't afford" a baby (and wound up spending a lot of money on the abortion and then the surgery that followed when the doctors didn't do it correctly and caused internal bleeding and the medicines for emotional and physical trauma in between).

But most people have abortions because they're scared and don't want to a raise a baby. For various reasons. Be they young or selfish or poor or forced into by their government (see China), different people have different reasons.

No, I don't agree with hiding pregnancies.

Hi! Because no matter how much we cover the truth with words like abortion, terminate, or it's taken care of, the truth is that the little helpless being living inside her own mother is being killed by their mommy. Hormones know and react how the body reacts to the unexpected procedure. When a woman has a baby she gets a period of depression about a week after having the baby (called baby blues). When a girl has a miscarriage the same happens. It's no different just because we call it abortion. I've had 2 of my friends end up in mental hospitals. It is the death of child. Someone that might have been that girl's life line sometime in her life. This problem isn't talked about enough and so many women are in pain from abortion. The Bible says "a baby is a reward".
I was desperate durring one of my pregnancies and everyone told me to get rid of the problem.. I am so glad I had the baby because he is now my best friend. Why are our children reduced to "problems?" Maybe that's why kids are so mixed up today. There is proof that in the womb, the baby screams durring the torture. When a mom looses a child in a car crash, that mom grieves horribly. When a woman looses a child and then realizes it was her that gave the death sentence she greives. So sad. give your friends love and kindness. My one friend said she couldn't get over it after 12 years until she finally acknowledged what she did and asked God and her child to forgive her. To me a pregnant woman is a miracle--beautiful!

I have known a couple girls who had abortions - one who has no regrets, and one who has a lot of regrets. I think the difference between the two is that the first one truly was not ready for a pregnancy, and she knew it wasn't time. She was with an abusive partner, and she had no money. She wasn't ready, so she terminated.

The second girl was truly vexed about her decision. She went back and forth on her decision, and she finally went with the abortion. The difference there was that she actually wanted the baby, but she couldn't make up her mind. Ultimately, she didn't want to have a child with the man who fathered the baby, so she went ahead with the termination, even though she really did want to keep the baby. I think it was much harder for her because of her attachment to the unborn child. She was also farther along than the first girl, if I remember correctly.

I don't know if that answers your question at all, but that might give you an idea of why some women grieve more than others when they have abortions. It has a lot to do with how far along they are, how attached they become, and how much they do or don't want the pregnancy.

Do they think that they are God? Just because an unborn baby is unwanted today does not mean that he is destined to be unwanted for the rest of his life.
But if you still don鈥檛 agree, ask you family doctor some very specific questions: At what point is it possible to hear a baby鈥檚 heartbeat? When can you fist measure brainwaves? How soon does a baby start to look like a person? If that seems like to much trouble to ask the questions and go to the doctor, than I will say that 6 days after implantation in the uterus the person has developed so rapidly that his heart, brain, spinal column, and nervous system are almost complete; after 8 days the person鈥檚 heart has started to beat. Although still very small, this individual has taken control of the pregnancy to try to assure it鈥檚 survival 鈥?and the mother probably doesn鈥檛 even know she is pregnant yet.
A child is a human being irregardless of how small or how young, whether inside or outside the mother; and therefore has the right to choose to live. Since young children are unable to express their desire to live, at least until they learn to talk; it is reasonably certain that, like most of the population, they would prefer to live rather than be killed; and should be protected by law and adult population until they become a legal adult at 18.

The simple fact? Its human life and you are murdering it. The pro abortion people can have all the lines they want, but the simple fact is it has a heart beat, it is life. The day someone can show me something that is not alive and has a heartbeat, I'll buy that tale.
Abortions are not a form of birth control. People use the "its not life" excuse to rationalize and make themselves feel better about what they did and YES, studies are shown that most women feel loss and regret after an abortion. They know, deep inside, that they murdered their child. It goes against ALL motherly instinct and they know it. Sometimes years later, when they are alone..it hits. They see a kid in the park and think about what their child would have been. It has nothing to do with anti abortion propaganda...if that was true, they wouldn't get it in the first place, LOL.
Why do the same people who murdered their unborn child...become so upset when they miscarriage in later pregnancies? If its just a "thing" and not a child?
