Only 1% of the women (that have had abortion) have post abortion syndrome? |
Do you guys think minority of women that have had abortion would have post abortion syndrome while the majority of other women don't? You can go back and forth all day with statistics, but I feel that stressing post abortion syndrome is not fruitful in the debate because it doesn't answer the key question "when does life begin?" I feel like all abortion statistics are iffy. For every study that comes out that "conclusively finds" that abortion has detrimental effects most of the time to a woman's body, there is another study that "conclusively finds" the opposite. It's one of those hot-button issues with difficult to trust information. Ever see "Thank You For Smoking?" It shows how oftentimes really powerful lobbies have scientists working on their side who are paid to prove their case. To quote the movie, they find scientists who could "disprove gravity" if they wanted to :P I don't know, like the person above says it's really hard with such an emotive issue, because there are so many people against abortion they keep on coming up with things and trying to prove/justify that abortions cause bad things etc. even when more neutral studies or others show they don't. i regret Actually, a survey of post-abortive women found that: |
