Why do cancer patients have taste abnormalities?

Why do cancer patients have taste abnormalities?

This is not clearly understood, but is thought to be included in the 'non-metastatic' effects of some tumours. Some especially lung lesions stimulate the release of chemicals which have distant effects like this on the body.

They are ill and when you`re ill food tastes different.

I agree with Dr Frank, but it's also said that the Chemo causes this!
