Let's try this again, Is there any medical syndrome that results in the malformation of...?

the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, adrenal glands, and kidney?

This is not a car wreck or traumatic injury. It could be caused by a developmental problem, some syndrome, illness, or exposure to toxic substance. It is highly unlikely to be congential. It most likely occured during the growth process in childhood. There were no symptoms of abnormality until the teen years.

The doctor can't be reached for further consultation until Monday.

What could cause the malformation of so many organs?

If a gallbladder is full of stones and one happens to move
into the bile ducts and down toward the opening into the
intestines and not pass into the intestines..what could happen
is the bile would back up into the liver and possibly cause
damage there, the gallbladder would try to contract and
push more bile through these tubes if something with fat
was being digested. The stone could also block the
pancreas from releasing amylase and lipase. If it went
on long enough, when the liver cells become damage...
the functions of the liver would deteriate and toxins would
go out into the blood. The kidneys, being a filter of the
body, would be working harder to remove these toxins and
it can cause the kidneys to become damage. When the
kidneys become damaged that they cannot properly
remove sodium from the body, it would have an effect on
the adrenal glands.
So, your answer to your question, to me could be the
following:
Keeping in mind a child and a disease of childhood:
Biliary Atresia

For someone who might be older:
Primary biliary cirrhosis
Sclerosing Cholangitis
Gallstones

Cirrhosis of the liver

There is one other thing that can occur, and that is
multi organ failure, which can happen during a shock type
episode or when organs do not get enough oxygen to
them because of poor blood flow.

I hope this information is of some help.

Huffing glue? Parasites? Just wild guessing...test for toxins and parasites. Diabetes can damage the kidneys, by damaging blood vessels and nerves in the body and in the organs. Actually it could be almost anything...

I cannot say for sure what, if, these problems can be linked to one syndrome. Based on your question, there could be a wide variety of illnesses/conditions/syndromes that could be related. But, being evaluated by an Endocrinologist, would be an option. If your Doc, that is currently evaluating you and has no exact cause/reason for your symptoms, then he/she should refer you to an Endocrinologist. Such problems in these areas are specialized, meaning that you need to be evaluated by a specialist. Let your Doc do any preliminary tests, then he/she can refer you to a Doc that is specialized in such areas. I know that it is difficult to wait . The anticipation or the worst of your fears are confronting you but, until Monday, there really isn't any other option. However, if your symptoms persist or worsen, then go to the ER!! I wish that I could be of more help. I hope that this helps and Good Luck !! Hang in there!! Ruth
