Down Syndrome Testing NT Scan? |
Hello all, Listen honey, those tests aren't always right, and don't worry too much about it. If you are going to have a baby with a abnormality though I want to tell you that you aren't alone and your baby is not doomed to a horrible life. My lil sis has downsyndrome and I couldn't imagine life without her she does very well and a lot of kids do. There are different levels of any disorder so it's not a end all or anything. I have known people who found out they were having a baby with downs only to not have a baby with downs so just take it from me and don't worry, no matter what your baby has or doesn't the most important thing is your love. I understand your worry and your fear. I went through it with my youngest son. I could sit here and tell you a million reasons why there is no need to worry. the answer above mine gave you some things to think about. and I certainly not going to hop up on the preacher pulpit. you have every right to be concerned and afraid...all of this is an unknown for you. I felt the same way. but looking back on the past 4 yrs of my son's life I can tell you this....IF your baby has down syndrome it won't be the end of the world....sure your life will be somewhat different than what you expected, but I have to tell you it really isn't that much different than raising any other child...things are just accomplished at a slower more leisurely pace. I wake up each morning to a "hi" and a sign of 'love you'. and it is a wonderful way to start my day! |
