Are there any cardiologists out there who can tell me what an intraventricular conductive delay is?

What is it caused by and what dies this mean for my future , I also have atrial fibrillation and am aged 28 years old but feel 70.
My echo scan also showed up an enlarged left ventricle, abnormality in the wall at the apex with a hyperkinetic mid anterior septum and overall systolic impairment.

I have recently had a muga scan will this tell me what is wrong and why?

I have to wait until october to talk to my cardiologist and my GP is useless so any cardiologists out there who could help explain to me what is wrong would be very kind.

Cheers

I am surprised that you have to wait till October to see the cardiologist. Are you already being treated for the Afib. If this was a new onset afib you would have been hospitalized and medically treated to see if you convert back to normal sinus rhythm or they might have decided to cardiovert you to return the rhythm back to normal...if this was a chronic afib then you might have been on blood thinners.....such as coumadin if your at home and in the hospital they might have put you on heparin. With afib your at risk for the heart to send a blood clot to the lungs or else where so they generally place patient on anticoagulant therapy....I am not a cardiologist or a physician but hopefully your being treated for your condition and I hope you do speak to the cardiologist soon and are being properly managed by your doctors.

Diet wise it has been recommended to eat fish high in omega 3 such as red snapper. Omega 3 fish oils are good and help keep the heart working well . Good luck wish you the best. Your so young to being going through this but hopefully the doctors can get you to feel better. Work on diet in the mean time to at least control those factors. Low fat, low cholesterol, add fish to the diet.Take care hun see ya Angela

Please see the webpage for more details on Atrial fibrillation, Disturbed heart rhythm and heart muscle disease. From the facts stated by you, it is seen that you are suffering from Disturbed heart rhythm and Heart muscle disease. The left ventricle pumps blood throughout the body. Pumping effienciency reduces when the left ventricles enlarges. The aim of the the treatment will be to set your heart rhythm normal, prevent heart failure and to reduce symptoms of heart disease. (hyperkinesia means abnormally increased motor function or activity, systolic impairment means weakened contraction of left ventricle)
I regret to inform you that I am not a medical professional.
