Theatcher collins syndrome?

I was told is was a chromosomal abnormality. I don't think the hospital spelled it right. All I find is thatcher collins syndrome or treacher collins syndrome

I believe the hospital was speaking of Treacher Collins syndrome. It is not a chromosome abnormality, but actually an abnormality at the level of the DNA. It is an autosomal dominant hereditary craniofacial disorder. It is characterized by underdeveloped facial features, ear abnormalities, cleft palate, and often hearing loss.

treacher collins is where there are facial deformaties most people with this look very much alike. Call your doctor for the correct spelling.
