Has your wife considered seeing a chiropractor?

Chiropractic is founded in the principle that the Central Nervous System (our brain, spinal cord, and nerves) controls EVERY bodily function. When the spinal column is misaligned, the vertebrae can pinch the nerves that run out between them and cause pain, numbness/tingling, or any type of general malfunction in that nerve's corresponding body part. Herniated disks are also known to put this kind of pressure on the nerves and cause discomfort. Chiropractors are highly trained to detect spinal malpositions (called subluxations) that most MD's perceive as normal (No offense to MD's, they just have a different education and usually just look for herniated disks or fractures. But vertebral rotation, forward-head posture, joint fixations, etc., can also cause unease in the body).

Chiropractic works to remove this neural interference via adjustments (if this is the cause of the problem). Chiropractic is completely safe, non-invasive, and doesn't use surgey or drugs that could have potentially harmful side effects.

I can't say that this is a guaranteed "cure" for your wife, but it might be something to consider. I spent a year working in a chiropractic office and saw how it helped so many people that I ultimately decided to become one, and am now in school doing it.

So if you do decide to see a chiropractor, ask family and friends for recommendations, visit a few offices, and choose the doctor that you are most comfortable with. No matter what happens, I sincerely hope that things work out for you and your wife. Best of luck!

Motrin for minor back pain works for me. If it's really bad I would consult a dr.

maybe you should massage her back. and tel her to stretch at work so she can help relax the muscles.
