Bleeding after medical termination?? please advise? |
I had a medical termination at 15 weeks on 20th Dec due to a severe abnormality with the baby. i bled for 2 weeks and then stopped and started. i got what i think is my period last wednesday but i am still bleeding and getting heavier on day 7. Is this normal to have such a pro longed period?? Please advise or has anyone had a similar experience? Abortion (I assume that is what you mean by "medical termination") is very dangerous. I am highly Pro Life but I wont get into that. You need to get to the doctors fast. Also, therapy is a good decision because you might regret the decision later. Call your doctor and/or go to the ER this is likely a normal reaction to the termination... concern should be exhibited if the bleeding goes on longer than two weeks. Did you get pamphlets after the termination to see what you should look for if there is something wrong. If you bleed on day 8 and heavy.. see a doctor please! Hope all is well. I don't know the answer to your question, just wanted to show my support. yes this sounds about normal but you should consult your doctor to make sure. My sister had to do the same thing and she had crazy periods for about three months. and for people that don't know this is for medical reasons the doctor is usually the one who decides so how is it karma? it would be a month since the termination, so it could be a period. But it should be getting lighter, not heavier. You should probably get in touch with your doctor. If you are light headed, etc. and the bleeding is not letting up, you could end up with problems. Blood loss could be serious. my girlfriend, in menapause was bleeding so often she ended up having to get blood transfusions...the said it could cause heart damage..so please take it as seriously as it sounds and call your doctor, or go to the er. It could just be that your blood has used up alot of platelets and they didn't have time to be replaced before the period, or the doctor may say that it is normal to have a heavy flow the first month...they will probably put you on iron pills and tell you to watch your liquids etx...but I think you need professional advice. best of luck to you. It's called Karma |
