Vaginal abnormality?

I believe I have an abnormality in my vagina, but I'm in my late teens, and I can't imagine that it would not have been diagnosed sooner. There's something blocking my vaginal opening, it's not my hymen because it's coming from inside. There's skin that comes out from my vaginal opening, but it's almost a muscle. I don't know quite how to explain it, but although I can still menestraute because there's room all around this skin/muscle, there is not nearly enough room to use tampons and certainly not enough room if I would ever life to be intimate with a partner.
I know I need to see a doctor, but I'd like some idea of what this is. Please help.

at the entrance of the vagina there are several glands that secrete lubrication (I can't remember the name of them--bartholamew glands, maybe?) Anyway it's not common, but they do get clogged. You should see a doctor to give you some options for treatment. My sister had this happen (she was in her mid twenties at the time) she said it felt firm but that you could feel it give a little if you poked at it. Her doctor somehow opened the one that was clogged and let it drain, the swelling went down, however all said-and-done, she says her's is still slightly enlarged, but it dosen't effect her sex life or cause any problems. There's more room down there than you realize.
