I can't find the name of this abnormality: a face grows from a lump on a person's neck (initially a lump) |
The actress in My Big Fat Greek Wedding mentions that she grew up with a lump on her neck that turned out to be her sibling. They removed that lump with surgery. I looked this up and found that it is actually a true abnormality that can occur. A face will grow out of a person's body and it will form some features of a face, such as teeth. However, I have forgotten the name of that condition or the medical term for the 'face'. If anybody can send me a link as to what doctors call that 'face' or what the condition is named, then I will be greatful. That's called a "tertoma tumor" or "vanishing twin syndrome". |
