Wisdom Tooth Abnormality? |
So my upper left wisdom tooth is coming in, and in back of it, there seems to be a tiny 'flap' growing. It doesn't hurt, but I know it's there so it's annoying. What could this be? it's called operculum. It's just an extra flap of gum tissue. It wont hurt you. You just have to take extra care cleaning that area because food debris/bacteria can get caught under there and cause problems. So make sure to clean back there really good and use some mouth wash to swish that area out. it could just be a flap of your gum that was pushed out of the way due to your wisdom teeth coming in. I feel for you I just has all 4 of my wisom teeth cut out 2 weeks ago. |
