What self checks can one perform to test for lumps, bumps, abnormalities, rigidity within the body? |
hi everyone, on tv we have all seen ways to detect things like breast cancer and testicular cancer by performing self checks by feeling for certain lumps and bumps but how can one feel other parts of their body to check for the same thing? Say for instance, with me i have concerns about a potential something where my sternum is. If it is possible to do so, how can one feel for any abnormalities in this region or for that matter anywhere along the abdominal region (lumps, bumps, rigidity etc?) I read once that doctors know just by externally feeling your pectoral area whether your heart is enlarged or not and so i was wandering whether there were any other checks (as per my above enquiry) that one can perform on themselves to check for potential abnormalities and lumps, bumps etc? Many thanks for your help Doctors are unlikely to feel heart enlargement through the muscles, bones and lungs so you have received misinformation on that one. TO CHECK FOR LUMPS IN BREASTS:- |
