Seeking expert help, having to do with hand abnormalities? Pictures included.?

I have added the explanation to my geocites homepage because the details text box was too small to include what I wanted to add, so please view the geocites link to read my question.

Hey!! ... Sorry, I'm not an expert, although, I can verify that you aren't alone!! One of my buddies and two other people that I know also share this trait in their thumbs!! It may be more common than you think!! :)

It looks like it is in the joints of your fingers & thumb. It could be a type of Rheumatoid Arthritis. Ask the doctor next time you are in for something. Then again it could just be extra fat deposits on the pads of your thumb and fingers.

My nephews wife has a similar condition where her fingernails and hair don't grow. I don't know what it is called. But her fingers look similar to yours - fat & short and the nails look wierd blueish and fake. Oh yea and she doesn't have eyelashes or eyebrows either. It is the type of cells that make up her nails & hair that have a mutation. It is hereditary. Her brother has it and her Mom has it.

You just have short, stubby features. It isn't a rare genetic disorder, just a natural variation in appearance. I have seen people with hands like yours, and people with hands in hundreds of other varieties. Stop obsessing about your hands and just live your life!
