Lower abdominal pain after sex?

I have had some sharp lower abdominal pressure this last two weeks but it hadn't affected me too bad because it only occured in my lower abdomen when I would urinate. I'd feel pressure that was semi-sharp and would last throughout my urination and until I got off the toilet.

Last night is the first time it has actually felt its worst. My fiance and I had finished being sexually intimate and I tried to roll on my side or back but I had a sharp bubbling pain in my lower abdomen. No matter how I changed posistion I could still feel the sharp bubbling sensation in my stomach starting from where my tubes may be located and reaching to my vagina.

It hurt so bad that I screamed, cussed, and wished myself dead. This is unlike me and this is the worst pain I think I've ever experienced. The pain lasted for about 30 minutes and has since been replaced with a small pressure.

I am going to see a doctor tonight because this pain feels as if I need to have it looked at right away but I would like some answers on here first. Please do not leave obvious answers like "See a doctor" or "Ask your physician" or "Look it up" I am not a complete moron and I don't need those. IF you don't know the direct answer don't answer my questions to earn extra points or whatever. Thanks...

OH I forgot to mention that I haven' t any stds. I get tested twice a year and they've all come back normal. No STDS :)

Also my man isn't "Well endowed" though he wishes it ;). He's just got an average sized pecker. Not big. Not small. Average

I'm not a doc, but the things that come to my mind is

1) UTI, urinary tract infection. This can cause a lot of pain.
2) PID Pelvic infection. Can also cause pain, but usually is associated with discharge and fever.
3) fibroids
4) ectopic pregnancy

I am glad you're seeing the doc tonight. Feel better.

Thanks for choosing my answer as the best answer! Feel well! Report It

OB/GYN check with them could be a problem with your uterus

Good that you are going to the doctor. From the symptoms that you describe my guess is that you had a urinary tract infection that went unchecked and spread into your kidneys. You're going to need antibiotics.

Good luck with that. Could be an std. I had this problem and still refusing to go to the doctor but a man that is smaller doesn't hurt so I don't understand. could be a cyst.

I have had that before and the pain is quite uncomfortable. I am not a Dr. but I was diagnosed with blatter infection. I had to go to the Dr. and they took a sample and made a test on it. I had to take antibiotics for few days and it was gone. Here are some recommendations I would give you:
- Drink lots of liquid, warm if you can. Cranberry juice really helps.
- Go to a Dr. inmediatly, do not let it get worse.
- Stay warm as I have experienced that myself and keep my lower parts warmed up always helped.
Good luck and wish you well!

If youre guy is very well endowed he could be damaging you inside - I had this myself, same symptoms and was diagnosed after numerous tests as having 'trauma' from sex. If he is big look up sex positions to prevent problems.

there is more than one cause for those symptoms but it sounds like you have an infection either urinary or vaginal. there is also the possibilities of stones or even an ectopic pregnancy. all of these can be easily treated. make sure you follow your doctors instructions because they can get more serious.

dear pal, you are suffering from a condition called "honeymoon pylietis" this is basically a infective disorder of urinary bladder called cystitis. treatment is simple ,as under
1.change the brand of condom you are using, if using
2. drink loads of water
3. drink citrus juices
4. take urinary antibiotics like levofloxacilin 250mg b.d.
its not a serious disorder

go to the docs

Four things come to mind when I read your symptoms;

1.urinary tract infection
2. bladder infection (these top two could be happening at the same time)
3. Cinched fallopian tube
4. Ectopic pregnancy (fertilized egg is trapped in a fallopian tube)

I do not think this has anything to do with your kidneys, because you would also feel pain in the upper/lower back. Any one of the issues above needs to be treated by a doctor right away, as there are no techniques or over-the-counter medications that can treat them.

you had a cits burst.. go see a doctor.

Could be a severe bladder infection, fibroids, ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cyst/ovulation, infection, appendicitis, or endometriosis. I know ectopic pregnancy can cause severe pain! I say see someone. And you could ask about those possibilities. Good luck...it sounds awful!
