Abdominal pain below my belly button for 2 days? Has anyone had this? What was/is it?

what might it be if I have lower abdominal pain/ache for a few days straight? It's more to the left than right, and below the belly button. It bugs me more when I sit. When I lay down or stand up it almost goes away. Unless I press on it, it's just an ache, like mild gas. In fact it almost feels like I should go to the Bathroom but I don't have to. If I press on it, it hurts a bit more. It's not on the appendix side, it's on the left side, but more under the belly button. Nothing crippling (like a 2-4 on a 1-10 scale), but it just has been there for the last 2 days or so. Has anyone put up with abdominal pain for a few days at a time? I really don't want to go to the ER, and my Dr.'s office is closed. Tomorrow we go to a local amusement park and I don't want to screw that up for the kids.

Hi there!

I would go to the doctor if I were you. It might be a cyst on the outside of your uterus or on one of your ovaries. Since the pain has persisted for 2 days (even though it is a dull pain) if you wait and it gets worse it could potentially cause some serious problems if it is indeed a cyst. Most of these cysts are non-cancerous and are just fluid filled "bubbles" that without proper treatment could rupture. They are actually extremely common. Go to the doctor to make sure it's nothing serious. Hope this helps! :)

Cramps

you could either have, a.) appendecitis, b.) a hernia, or c.) gullbladder problems.

I have pain like that alot, I dont know what it is though, but you should be okay. Try taking a medicine for cramps it usually loosens the muscles that cause the pain.

It really sounds like what I went through. I was told I was constipated.

Could possibly be a hernia. Just take it easy tomorrow & make sure to go to your Dr. ASAP. Good luck

Ok. You definately need to go to the doctor. It very well could be a hernia, appendicitus (sometimes it starts out below the navel and the pain then travels) or possibly your gallbladder. I had my gallbladder out five years ago and the pain started as a dull ache below the navel. It got a bit worse in time, until one day I had a full blown attack. Believe me you DO NOT want to have one of those.
If you go to the ER, they can do an ultrasound to detect stones--painless.
Good luck.

could be intestinal or maybe related to bladder you should get it checked out

Don't want you to freak out, I'm not a doctor or something, but I wouldn't play with that. If you are sexually active, there's a slight chance it could be an ectopic pregnancy... again, don't want to alarm you needlessly, but, hey.... check the site below for any clues. G'day!

having normal bowel movements? something to think about ,women get constipated a lot for some reason.also might think about ovary problem strained muscles, bladder.should be checked out soon make appointment with Dr unless symptoms change or increase then go in sooner.
