What will cause abdominal pain if it is not the appendix?

My daughter, who is 16 has been having abdominal pain in right side since Dec. 23. We have been to the ER twice and doctors office as well. They all thought at first it was her appendix but they did ultrasound, bloodwork, urine and CT scans. All came back normal so they are not sure what it is. Her stomach hurts all of the time and is getting worse. She is nausious and has bad headaches. She started running a fever this weekend. Movement seems to hurt her more. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? We are going to see a GI specialist this week. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!!

They did an ultrasound of her liver, kidneys and gallbladder. Her bladder wasn't full so they couldn't see her appendix or ovaries. The CT scan came back normal, it was of abdominal area and pelvic area. Her fever was 102. The doctor still thinks it is her appendix but the surgeon said that the ct scan didn't show any inflamation so he doesn't want to admit her or even see her. They were going to admit her last night for observation but now they are trying to get her through this weekend and her doctor is going to call a GI specialist in the morning to see if they can work her in soon.

I went through all these tests and they located zero? Turned out to be a disc problem in my spine. Good Luck

maybe a gallbladder or liver
i see a nother doctor or hosptial

Ovarian cysts. These would be visualized on ultrasound and CT.
Constipation. Would be seen on CT and abdominal xrays.
Menstrual cramps.
Gallbladder. Gallstones or wall thickening can usually be seen by CT and ultrasound.
A viral illness.
You don't mention what type of ultrasound scan she has had. So regarding above those specific areas would need to have to have been scanned.
Good luck
By fever do you mean greater than 100.5? If she is running a fever then call back your PCP and let him know.
