Is it common to have abdominal pain when you have a low back disc rupture? |
Can low back disc pains cause abdominal pain? Or would it be 2 different things going on? Very possible. But abdominal pain can also radiate to the back (as is the case with a number of abdominal disease processes, I would recommend consulting your GP (or Orthopedic specialts if you are already under his care for the disk problem) Pain can throw your body out of whack in a variety of ways. I have arthritis that attacks my lower spine and when it acts up I get abdominal pain as well. The reason I get it is because with the muscles stressing from arthritic pain, they tighten too much to allow a normal expulsion of gas from my body and the pain meds cause gas as a side effect. Taking Gas-X relieves the problem for me, maybe it will work for you. Yes it can. When there is a herniated disc, it impinges nerves. The nerves in your spine go to EVERYTHING in your body. This is very common, you need to get the joint fixed. The longer you wait, the longer it will take to heal. Try your Chiropractor. |
