Slight lower left abdominal pain for a while? |
so im a teenager and ive had a slight abdominal pain in my lower left side for about 3 weeks now. I thought it would go away once i got my period but it didn't. It hasnt been throbbing but it's definately there, and comes off and on. Im scared of what it might me. Im still a virgin and everything but i dont know what it could be. HELP ME!! no i dont have diabetes and people in my family dont. and its mostly in my left side but every once in a whie i will feel it barely in the left side. well theres three main things in that part of your anatomy; your colon, your intestines, and some ovaries...If you've gone to the bathroom lately and all is normal, you can rule out a possible colon problem and intestinal issue. Which leaves ovaries. Could be an ovarian cyst. Not anything too crucial but it will hurt like hell when it pops. If you are doubled over in pain though, you need to go to an ER. You could have anything from Diberticulitis to colon cancer. Just get checked if your worried. Are you diabetic, or have anyone who is in your family? It could be your pancreas. Don't worry what ever it is, I'm sure you'll be fine, but definatly go see the doctor!!! I had a bad pain on my left side when I was about 12 years old. At first I thought it was just my period. When I went to the emergency room they asked if I was pregnant. When I told them no and that I was still a virgin they still weren't sure and did a pregnancy test (which my parents refused to pay). It turned out I had a very badly bruised and enlarged spleen. I was pretty active and had somehow either over exerted myself or was injured. I had to take it easy for a while. |
