Abdominal Pain and Diarrhea........? |
I have 2 questions I suppose........ Get yourself to a gynecologist, family doctors are not equipped for complicated gynecological problems. He's telling you about cysts rupturing and the only thing he's doing is giving you narcotics? What a quack. Get to a real doctor. As for the diarrhea and stomachache, call the pharmacist and ask if these are common side effects for the drugs you're taking and if so, if there's anything you can do to avoid the side effects. I would hope that the ER doc is ruling out appendicitis, by the way. We can't help you. Go back to your doctor! You should go to a different doctor, and get some help. As far as the second question, you probably have irritable bowel syndrome, and should go to the doctor. Hope this helps! Get a referral for a specialist. They can help you better than we can. I would advise you taking the medicine on a full stomach. Maybe take with some milk. If you are not use to pain medication and are taking it on an empty stomach it will give you diarreha. If it does not go away, you should call your dr. He can change medicines or the strenght of it. Those are really pretty mild pain pills you have. If both Dr's do not agree on what it could be I would advise you see another DR. Go to a gynocologist. They are more knowledgable about female issues than ER docs. They will probably do an ultrasound to look for cysts. ovulation can cause this but it would alternate sides if it was your overies. see a doctor but until then go to the grocery store and get some activa live cultured yogert because many times diarrhea and digestive problems are from a change in the natural digestive bacteria in your gut. If you had antibiotics or yeast in fection lately this may have started it. even stress can throw your natural balance off and cuase cramping and diarrhea. eat apple sause cuz it has natural pectin and for a day eat the brat diet ( applesause rice and toast, and chicken broth) and see if you are better. You need to check your stool for blood or black color to be sure there is no blood. small amount red (frank blood)may be from irritation to your anus though. I think I would get some bowel flora from the health food store. If you are with one man are you sure he is not cheating? have the doctor prove PID by testing you for the bacteria. did he give antibiotics? did they culture a smear? dont leave until you are satisfied with treatment. dont let the doc treat you like a number. meke him listen and explain. his nurse should if he doesnt. Many times women get antibiotics and have yeast infections and diarrhea for months and the doctors act like they dont know what is going on...sometimes they test for parasites and sometimes they even give another antibiotic but this is foolish when all you need is to replenish the natural harmony in your body because the antibiotics kill the good bacteria you need for digestion along with the bad bacteria causing an infection. Well, I think the diarrhea is from the painkillers. They can wreak havoc on your GI track. Be sure to take them with meals. Based on your symptoms it sounds like it could be endometriosis or something similar but this needs to be evaluated by a gynecologist to see what they think is going on. Honey you and I are in the same boat! It sounds like you might have gallstone(s). I've had stomach pain and bloating for 2 years. In the emergency room, the CT scan showed a large gallstone. I had surgery to remove my gallbladder and I'm fine now. Check out this site: http://www.gallbladderattack.com/questio... |
