Right side abdominal pain radiates to right flank no temp nausea or vomiting? |
been having this pain for approx 3 weeks. i'm a 41 year old male with no past medical histories or surgeries. it first sarted on my left upper abdomin along my ribs, now its on my right side under my ribs with the pain radiating to my right flank described as a dull ache to a slight sharp pain. no nausea or vomiting. my bowel movements have not been normal, been just as frequent, stools have been soft. and i feel bloated after i eat. went to MD he gives me Nexium and did blood work, the blood work for my liver was 130!! it was 112 a year ago,,2 MD's don't seem worried. he says come in in 3 months to have it checked again. only meds i take is a baby aspirin once a day. a multi vtm, Nexium, and Milk Thistle i havent been having any urinary issues that i'm aware of,,urine is of normal color and frequency, no blood or anything. no blood in my stools either. Why don't you check with your GI doc again? he/she is the one with the right answers It could be your gallbladder. I had mine out about 6 years ago. My pain was in my abdomen but radiated to my back and shoulder. But everyone's pain is different. Ask your doctor or get a second (or third) opinion. Could be gall bladder, should rule out urinary probs too. Go back to your doctor, and ask him to take a urine sample. I don't know what bloodwork you've had, but maybe a CBC, amylase, lipase, Urea, and Creatinine would be helpful. Next I would ask for an abdominal ultrasound, or more specifically an ultrasound of the gall bladder. Have you had abdominal films or a CT. You need to advocate for yourself, and push for these tests. Your doctor could be overlooking something serious. |
