I get very very painful lower abdominal pain about five-seven days before my period almost every month.?

I'm not sure what it is, I had an ultrasound and they found nothing.
It starts out like period cramps then at night it worsens to the point that i'm delerious/vomiting sometimes. It's intolerable and comes in almost waves, with a few seconds of relief every once in a while. It lasts anyhwere from a half hour to an hour.
I dont know if it's cysts or endimitriosis, but wouldnt the ultrashound have picked that up?
Also, I dont know what type of doctor I should see. Should I just go to a hospital? It really cant move when it's happening, I think I might pass out of the pain. Strangely enough, the only thing that helps is to walk in circles while clutching my stomach/alternating ice and a hot water bottle on it.

Can anyone help me?

Sounds like you are ovulating at this time. this can cause real pain for some women

Get some blood work done, or try going on the birth control pill it helps with the PMS symptoms.

Oh, how I feel for you. I was exactly the same almost every month. The pain was excruciating. I never got any answers from GP or hospital. However, when I hit the menopause, it all stopped and I now have no more pain.

i do the same thing. try to take two midols. That might help.

awk hun that sounds awful!
id see a hospital! My friend had really irregular, heavy and painful periods and her GP recommended the pill. Shes been taking it for a year and everythings sweet =]

It SOUNDS like serious period pains - the method that relieves your pain is what helps period pains - exercise.
Hot & cold will help just about any kind of inflammation.
Ovarian cysts certainly sound like a possibility - it could just be your period starting - although I wouldn't want THAT happening all the time!
I'd see your GP & get referred to a gynaecologist.

i get realllly ****** up pains before my period as well. i get it one day before though, or on the first day of it, like right before the bleeding starts. it doesnt happen every month to me but when it does, its BAD. mine is just like urs, i puke and once it even made me faint it was just unbareable!! im always in tears and cant move.... but i havent had realllllyyy bad ones in like 6 months... so i dont know....its probably nothing serious....u should just take pain killers to relieve the pain. but if ur the worrier kind of person, then just see a gyno to make sure nothings wrong. if they found nothing thru the ultra sound its probably nothing anyway. good luck...

Sounds like you're ovulating - maybe a trip to your GP would help - could refer you for further tests/prescribe something to actually help? My friend was like this and was told she had polycystic ovaries (excuse spelling). Hope its nothing that extreme.
Good luck - hope you find something to help you

Hi,

I feel for you as i know exactly how you feel,
get your Dr to refer you back to hospital and see if you have polycyctic ovary syndrome,
unfortunately nothing will help but pain killers,
I was offered a hysterectomy but i refused as i wanted a family.

I wish you luck..
