I have chronic abdominal pain. Gallbladder was removed 24 years ago. Pain worsens with alcohol intake.?

EGD, hepatobiliary scan and lab work that included serum amylase, liver profile & CBC were are within normal limits. I was given a prescription for hyoscyamine but it doesn't always work - even if I take as many as 3 of them in a 45 minute time frame. Any suggestions?

If it hurts more when you drink alcohol - then don't drink alcohol !

First, if alcohol makes the pain worse...STOP DRINKING!!!
Second, if your current doctor can't help you manage chronic pain, go see a doctor that specializes in chronic pain management, they may have treatment plans for your condition that your doctor might not know about.

If you have chronic pain, and are taking medication, you shouldn't be drinking alcohol.

I would advise you to speak to your doctor. Perhaps there are other tests that can be run.

Could be an issue with your pancreas.

first change your habit, don't drink alcohol, how are your intestines working, are you getting enough fiber in your diet and what about the exercise?, how many times are you going to the bath, do you feel confortable?, do you keep your apendex?, how old are you?, are you woman or man. what another medical studies do you have? colonoscopy, laparoscopy maybe. some blood hidden in your excrement?, while void alcohol and fat.
