I am 13 and i have had severe abdominal pain for the past week and i was wondering if i should go to the ER?

since you are still here on Yahoo Answers, I don't think that is really severe, so you can just schedule an appointment.

If you had it for the past week and it is severe, yes I'd go to the ER

well, what have you done lately that could have caused this kind of pain? if you really don't know, then yes, go to the doctors.

well it may be ur period. if its in the lower left side, it may be appenicitis. i would go ust to make sure there is nothing wrong.

Yes. Severe abdominal pain could be a sign of some very serious conditions, among them would be tubal pregnancy and appendicitis, both of which can KILL you.

Go NOW.

Yes.

does it hurt in your upper stomach, and straight through to your back.. that might be your gall bladder...if its lower in the uterus area may have cysts, they come and go, but i have had to get a few removed. if its all over you may have the flu or gas

It could be: (look up each on google for symptoms)

Pre-teen/Teenager
Abdominal epilepsy
Crohn's disease
Diabetes mellitis
Mononucleosis
Ovarian cyst
Ovarian/testicular torsion
Pelvic inflammatory disease
Psychogenic abdominal pain
Pregnancy
Ulcerative colitis

If you've had it for the past week I'd try and wait until tomorrow to go see the doctor. You should definitely get medical attention, but unless you feel like you're going to pass out or are running a fever you shouldn't be in any immediate danger. ERs are expensive (typically), but also you're around a lot of people that have contagious illnesses and it's best to try and avoid that if you can. If your doctor can't fit you in tomorrow, which would be surprising, you should try to go to urgent care. For now, see if heat helps the pain and try to drink enough water.

Have your parents take you tonight.

You are only 13... Have you even told your parents or Guardian? If it's really severe; you shouldn't be asking us, you should be talking to them. You'll need them for their signature, co-pay, and insurance information anyway.
