Do I have ovarian cancer?

I have abnormal periods, also have severe lower back pain mostly at nite when lying down and I experience nausea and nite sweats. I have also had abdominal twinges. The doctor put me on alow hormonal dosage a long time ago but did not work I am on nothing now. As I am typing this I am experiencing small twinges of pain in my abdomen. My abnormal periods are skipped periods and periods that stop then start again.

Please go to the doctor and do not hesitate.

It's ALWAYS better to be safe than sorry...and PUSH your doctor....you know how your body is supposed to feel better than they do....tell them everything that is going on with you, do not hold anything back at all.

Ask for an ultrasound of your reproductive area (i.e. uterus and pelvic area) and abdomen. If you have not had one in awhile, get a pelvic exam but do not get one from your primary care phy. Go to an OBGYN...they are the specialists.

If you have to take it a step further, ask for an Oncologist....now, don't freak out....they specialize in cancer, but the reason I am telling you this is not because I believe you have it (I am no expert), I am telling you this because Oncologists know what to look for.

Like I said, I am no expert in the area of medicine, but I've been through this with someone in the past year, so I do know THE PROCESS.

All my best to you...

You have not provided enough information to make any diagnosis. But I can tell you are gravely concerned.
You do have painful, irregular periods and there could be many reasons for it. Also there is not information on your sexual practice.

Nonetheless,
You can be suffering from pelvic inflammatory disorder, endomatriosis or ovarian cyst.
Ovarian cancer is very remote diagnosis without blood work, family history, examination and physicians evaluation of other symptosms
please seek appoinment with gynecologist

There are many websites that will tell you everything you need to know. I watched my mum die a slow and painful death from it,she was only 51. Good luck.
