Please only answer if u know? |
i had a laparoscopy done last thursday for my appendix, and the doctors also removed some tissue that was stuck to my intestine and to my lower abdominal, so its bn a week after the surgery and im still in a lot of pain, my back hurts a lot, and my right rib feels like its broken or something, and the doctors told me to drink naproxen which is making my stomach feel that burning sensation, so my question is...i wanna know if anyone that had a laparoscopy done felt the same way that im feeling???PLZZZZ ANY comments will be appreciated! thanks Hi, pain usually means WARNING SOMETHING WRONG so I would get it checked out if I were you I hadn't, but I have my share of surgeries, ask for lortab. Its easier on the stomach and works better. Its verry addicting so be careful go see your dr again, some body nicked some thing, you should be well on your way to recovery, with little or no pain, good luck! I am sorry that you are experiencing so much pain - I had one done but not for that problem and I did not experience much pain!@~ Naproxen is an anti-inflammatory, but it's not an antibiotic. Do you feel like you have an infection? Plenty of people do after surgery. Drink naproxen?????When did naproxen start coming in a liquid??I know you are not suppose to take it on a empty stomach.Maybe that is why it is burning. what did you tell your Dr. on your weekly follow up visit after the surgery? Rule #1: Don't ever ever wait. Go straight back to the doctor and tell him/her what you have just told us and get it FIXED. What you went through is supposedly a "normally straight procedure". The feeling that you have a broken rib is symptom of something else. You know your body better than anyone - go and tell that doc that you want to know what;s going on - TODAY if not sooner! I had one done before my hysterectomy. The surgery and incisions itself weren't too bad. But when they do this type of surgery, they inflate your insides with gas so they can access the organs they need to. Once they close you up, this gas flows up. It isn't the typical gas most think of. It seems to settle in under your ribs and in the shoulders. I had terrible pain in my upper body for about a week. The pain just has to dissipate. But if you are unsure, please check with your doctor. It's always best to check with a Dr. But I did experience pretty severe pain under my ribs and in my shoulders. I couldn't lay down for a week and had to sleep in a recliner in a sitting position. |
