Is it a stretch muscle or is it a hernia?

i know i have a sports hernia right now and its pissin me off..

i went to my doctor two times and the two times i told him everytime i cough my lower abdominal area hurts a little. I told him i think i got a hernia from the sports i participate in from highschool (football and basketball) and the doctor did all his procedure and also looked for a lump around my adominal region. There was no lump and the doctor told me to come back in 2 weeks because he thinks i might of stretch my muscles and ****. I rested for 2 weeks and i came back with the same pain and asked the doctor this time to send me to a specialist. He told me this time that i shouldnt go to a specialist right now cuss the can only give me surgury if they see the lump. My question is how the hell is my hernia going to get healed if i cant get surgury?

hmm maybe through ultraviolet therapy?

For hiatal hernia:

Most people do not have symptoms, though heartburn is more likely in those with a hiatal hernia. Upper abdominal pain may occur.

Call Your Doctor If:

You suspect that you have a hernia. Sometimes hernias require urgent medical care; an accurate diagnosis is important.
If you can't get the hernia to go back in. This is called an incarcerated hernia and can lead to strangulation.
You know you have a hernia, and you are nauseated and vomiting or are unable to have a bowel movement or pass gas. You may have a strangulated hernia or an obstruction, which are emergencies. Seek medical care immediately.

a stretched muscle, like a sprain, may very well go away with a lot of time and rest of the area. also, did he call it a hernia? do whatever he told you to do. it's my understanding hernia operations can be dicey and fail. frankly, I'm allergic to scalpels. or consult another MD.

Go to another doctor. You will need surgery to fix a hernia.

It's not gonna heal!!!!
