AB exercises for a bad back? |
I'm trying to work on my abs but due to a lower back injury it is hard to do sit ups or anything that causes strain to my lower back. What other exercise can I do to get a complete work out on all my abdominal muscles? My goal is to have a nice formed six pack ... something I have not been able to do due to my lower back pain. this is a problem since your back is part of your core. Your legs will have to do a lot of this now. High knees are great when laying on your back. When standing twist only the top half of your upper body and alternate sides. But keep in mind your eating is just as important for a six. Stay away from junk foods and carbs as well as soda strengthen you back first. those two work hand-in-hand as they are in tandem with each other. their movements oppose each other. d: You really need to ask an expert on this one. You don't want to reinjure your back in any way. If possible I would consult a personal trainer. He/she could give you exercises and help with positioning so that you are doing them correctly. A six pack comes from nutrition. You have to have a low body fat in order to see your abs. |
