Yet another Gastrointestinal question.....? |
I am at a loss right now because of this issue. For about 2 months I have had a burning sensation in my stomach. It is itchy and growls alot when I lay down. Sometimes I get little stabbing like pains also. These pains appear all over, sometimes in the upper right quadrant, sometimes lower right quadrant, lower left and lower right aswell. I also have irritation to the lower left and right abdominal area, which seems to get worse when I sit down. I have no diarrhea or vomitting at all, and I have a healthy appetite. I have had a full work up EGD, STRESS TEST, ECHO, BLOOD WORK, ULTRASOUND OF ABDOMIN, CHEST X-RAY, H.-PYLORI, GALLBLADDER ULTRASOUND... I have been to 5 doctors about this with no real end in site. GI doc, my m.d., another m.d. an allergist and an ENT. All have told me they think it is nothing serious, but I want it to stop! I am becoming depressed thinking I will never feel better. Currently taking protonix 40mg. Please give me any help. Has anybody experieced this? I get bloating sometimes after eating. I cannot sleep on my stomach, as I have done my whole because of this. 30 y/o male non-smoker non-drinker. Have they ruled out IBS (irritable bowel syndrome)? It has some of the symptoms you describe. Reflief from this requires: stress management, antianxiety med, and/or smooth muscle relaxant. It usually presents with bowel problems though as constipation or diarrhea. There is really no certain medical test for this. Docs will put you in this category when they don't really know what's wrong. It is a real illness and makes you miserable. Best wishes. Is it possible that youl have lactose intolerance? |
