Abdominal Pain?!?!?

Ok yall. Here is my deal. i have been having this problem with having lower abdominal cramping . It will not go away until i have a bowel movement.I have mild to severe pain too when it decides to pop up. When i am cramping it usually last anywhere from 1 to 2 hours then i will have the bowel movment. And the cramping usually starts about 1 to 4 hours after i eat. Just wondering if anyone else has the same problem as i do. i am fixin to call the gastro doc on monday.

this happens when i eat at home or it i go out to eat also. i don't eat spicy foods either.

Sounds alot like IBS

Irritable Bowel Syndrome!

probably constipated... or you may have a fissure in your bowels.. but deffinatly get it checked out

Have you tried looking it up on webmd.com? I would try that and since you are the one in pain, you will be able to better determine what will apply to you versus what does not. I hope you feel better!

It sounds like your constipated. You're dehydrated. You need to increase your water intake.

Sweetie....it really does sound like you need to be seen by a Gastroenterologist. It sounds to me like you might have one of several different things going on. One is irritable bowel syndrome, another is diverticulosis and yet another is Crohn disease (sounds horrible, but it's common and VERY treatable). There are medications the doctor can prescribe for you to make you feel better. I usually tell people things they can do to alleviate the problems they're having, but your deal is different. Please go to a doctor. They need to get to the bottom of what is causing this discomfort. They will, too. Good luck and email me when you get a diagnosis. By the way...something you can get over-the-counter until you get an appointment with the doctor is PRILOSEC. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the pharmacy section. Take it BEFORE you eat and see if it helps you. It helps your body process the food you eat and helps with the stomach and lower abdominal cramping.

hmm... very hard to say... how old are you anyway? but like what i always say regarding own health: never hesitate to seek medical help. Get examined. Its your body, take good care of it. Your problem doesn't sound like food poisoning if it occurs everytime you eat... but its definitely related to food. Crampy pain (or abdominal colick) is due to strong peristaltic movement of your bowels trying to push its content down. So if there is an obstruction or irritating substances that your bowels try very hard to expel, then it would squeez harder until you get severe crampy pain. So advice is to get help from a surgeon quick (mostly is surgical cause). Do a endoscopy to find out your problem. Take care
