Abdominal Pain.?

Hi, I'm a 15 year old female. Yesterday my friend punched me in the stomach. The area he hit was in the center of my tummy and right under my ribs. After he hit me, I was rolling on the floor because it hurts so bad; The world was spinning around me. I didn't know what to do so I just stayed on the floor until there was a little pain. The whole day yesterday I was coughing up blood and throwing up. My stomach hurts really bad. I was expecting nothing bad to happen but unfortunately it did because after every punch in the stomach hurts. I didn't go to school today because my stomach hurts a lot. But I didn't tell my mom my friend punched me in the stomach or else she will do something to him. So I just told her I didn't feel well... Can anybody help me? If I do have to go to the doctor or hospital, what do I have to expect? And please no mean messages because I don't think I have time to read those for now. So please... only serious comments. Thank you. Sarah.

To Mallory... I'm not playing jokes. What the heck? Do you know me? Do you know what I'm going through? If you don't, I prefer you just stay quiet cause I'm in pain.

Among other things, it's possible your friend may have broken your Xiphoid process. This is a tiny bone hanging below your sternum at the front of your rib cage. It can be broken off and can lacerate (cut) into your liver.

You should be seen by a doctor immediately. Coughing blood and throwing up are sure signs that you need to go to the doctor.

You might have internal damage and are bleeding internally. It's not normal to still have pain and to be coughing up blood. You're internal organs might shut down it you don't say something and go to the hospital. You can say that you tripped and fell into something. But you have to go to emergency. This is your life we're talking about.

seriously, you should go to a doctor.
whatever the situation, guys should NEVER hit girls.
YOU may get in trouble if that hit did things to your insides, girl.
better hurry up and get checked up in the hospital.

OMG how hard did he punch you? Regardless of what your mother will say you need to go to the emergency room immediately. Anytime you are seeing blood it is very serious. He may have caused internal bleeding or some sort of internal injury. They will have to do x-rays, MRI etc but its best to take care of this asap. Hope everything works out and you are feeling better soon.

Who is more important than you? You know the answer. Then get over to the doctor right away and have him/her give you a full physical. I would rather be safe than sorry. I definitely would not wait UNTIL something bad occurs. DON'T let anyone put you in that position again. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. Peace, Love and God Bless.

Sarah... Please tell your mom and go to the emergency room. If the guy gets in trouble then it's because he deserves it. I'm not being mean, but what are you doing hanging out with someone who abuses you? If you do nothing, you are giving him permission to abuse you in any way he pleases. Trust your mom. You need medical help. He could have injured your spleen, or other internal organs.

Coughing up blood is a serious problem and you need to be seen right away. The doctor will most likely do some xrays. Don't lie about what caused this problem or you may not get treated properly.
Don't let your friends? hit you. I don't know if you were all just playing around or what but you have a serious condition now and hope you get some help.

You must consult a doctor as soon as possible as this might be the case of internal bleeding which can prove fatal if not properly treated.
As you said you are having blood coughs and pain there might be a broken rib or if he hit you right under the rib cage it might have damaged a very soft bone under the rib cage (covering your heart).

Just consult a doctor as soon as possible.

you definitly have to go to the hospital, they will probaly do an ultrasound mabey a cat scan

Hopefully by now you've taken the advice from others and seen a doctor.

To make this short: whenever you cough up or vomit blood, it's time for a nice, friendly little trip to the ER (not your doctor unless he can see you within the next hour). This could be a number of things.

Please, as a health care professional take my advice.

you should go to a hospital or doctor ASAP.
but just tell your mom that you think your stomach pain might have been caused when..... you ran into the desk or the poll or the bookshelf or you dropped a book on your stomach. anythingMAKE IT UP! goodluckk
