Which is the better hospital for nuerosurgey: Stanford or UCSF?

My son has an AVM I want the best care for him. With all the different hospitals around, how will I know which is the best?

I believe of the two, Stanford would be the best choice.

My friend's, who is a physician, daughter had the same condition. He sent her to Stanford for the surgery.

My vote would be for UCLA. They have an excelent Neur Department. My son has had 3 brain surgeries over the last 10 years and all of them were done at UCLA by the same doctor. Note that an AVM is a Vascular problem and you should have a Vascular Neuro Surgeon.
