Is there any evidence that chemotherapy is a cause of ARDS? |
My father quickly developedd ARDS after his first chemo treatment about 8 weeks after his colon cancer surgery. You dont give very much information on your dad such as his age, does he smoke, does he have a hx of heart ailments etc. Is he otherwise healthy. What kind of chemotherapy did he recieve? How is his health otherwise? while chemotherapy may cause ARDS especially CISPLATIN, in your father's case I think its the colon cancer & the effects of the major surgery may have a greater role. |
