Aids do animals get aids?

if people have sex with animals can the animals get aids and what would be the effect on the animal kingdom if this spreed
i know this sounds lick a sick question but it is a question that i have asked myself many times would it be like bird flue
and how fast would it be transmitted

Didn't they say aids originated in monkeys..then perverts having sex with them got it? Not sure it could just be an urban myth...

AIDS was started by monkeys but not by sex... they used pieces of monkey in a vaccination and it got passed to humans. Although monkeys are animals, they have relative DNA so we can catch things from them. Animals like dogs and cats have very different DNA. I'm not sure, but I'm guessing no they can't.

Urban myth. There is a simian HIV and scientists believe that the virus mutated and crossed the species barrier. (meaning it went primate to primate, like it or not) . The opportunity was humans eating simian meat. The point of contact? Slaughter and butchering of simian meat.
Um, most normal people do not have intercourse with animals... but no, it would not cross the species barrier. But do not go there, ok?
There is feline equiv. of HIV and it spreads in the same manner: (look up feline HIV) sex and bite wounds.
You can look that up and see how fast it spreads.
