Aids/hiv hereditary? |
if a man with aids had sex with a woman with or without aids and they had a child would the child have aids? If at all the child gets it, it is vertical transmission thru mothers blood/secretions. It is not hereditory. No AIDS/HIV is not inherited but it can be transmitted during the birth process. If a HIV infected man has sex with a non-infected woman and she becomes pregnant and doesn't get the HIV virus, then the child would not have HIV virus either. If the man gives the woman HIV, she can pass the virus on to her baby during birth. |
