i've heard that AIDS can be transmitted through body fluids. How can that be?If a person that doesn't have AIDS has sex with another person that doesnt have AIDS,can either one get AIDS too? If neither of you are HIV positive, then you cannot get AIDS. You must first be infected with HIV for that to happen.
Remember, HIV is a virus. AIDS is a condition brough on by long-term infection with HIV.
You can only get HIV from blood, semen, vaginal fluids, breast milk and fluids around the organs.
To become infected, you must have contact with these fluids and a way for the virus to get into you - through a cut, sore or contact with a mucous membrane.
You CANNOT get HIV from urine, feces, tears, saliva, sweat or vomit. I have never in my 20 years of working in the HIV field heard of pus as a carrier of HIV. If one of the people had sex with someone with HIV immediately before the sex between the non- HIV partners and the original fluids were still present there is some chance of having the disease transferred to the one who didn't have sex with the HIV sex partner. Report It
Not if neither has AIDS. For more details contact the AIDS hotline. AIDS is transmitted thru body fluids, like semen. it is a sex dezies(sorry worng) If neither person has AIDS, then neither can get AIDS. It is only transmitted from an infected person to a non-infected person. well yes and no.
One of the partners could be a carrier of the HIV virus which eventually causes AIDS. It may take years for symtoms to come up so the partner may not even know they are spreading it. You get the HIV virus not only but being in contact with body fluid but also from sharing dirty needles. Not saying all people with the virus are drug addicts or gay, for example if a woman is going to have a baby and she carries the AIDS virus she needs special prenatel care and medicine to protect the baby. In some cases the woman does not recive the correct care and the virus is passed to the child. :( So in answer to your question you wouldn't get AIDS but there is a possiblity of catching the HIV virus so be safe! All partners should be tested and if one comes back positive then they should use protection-frankly you should use it anyway if you aren't trying for a kid!
In addition HIV is not transmitted just through sperm. If you come in contact with infected blood, urine, feces, vomit, pus, ect. You can still get it. A lot of health care workers get sick this way. no
if nore of them have aids they don't have how to contact it.
you can contact aids only if you are having sex with a perons that haves aids. |
