Can laxatives aid in losing weight?

Can laxatives aid in losing weight?

yes,to some extent, because these materials incease speed of food motion in the gut(small intestine) and decrease absorbsion of nutrients but you should concern about dehydration.

urination will be thee
no loss of weight[!]

Yes but in a gross, and unhealthy way.

No. There's another part to it that people don't know about. I'll just put it simply... If you get a colon cleansing at the age of 50, chances are you will drop 5-8 pounds and you will feel better than ever.

yes but you would need to drink a lot of fluids to prevent dehydration.

But using laxatives is not a good idea to lose weight, you could endanger your life, and even poison your body.

Yes they can, but with very dire possible consequences, such as electrolyte imbalance from dehydration (which has been know to product severe cramps, dizziness, fainting, rapid heart rate, and heart attack).

DON'T !!!!

No, and don't try it, it's like being a bulimic

This is a clear sign of an eating disorder. Or one in the making. Only a good healthy diet and exercise can aid in losing weight on a long term basis. But you are going to do what is easy, just like the rest of the world. Good luck and I hope you don't crap out your colon.

definitely, it will but the danger is: you will loose lots of electrolytes, vitamins and minerals. beware.

The weight you lose from laxatives is mainly fluid, due to dehydration. This is a very dangerous form of dieting and can lead to extreme health problems, it's not worth the trouble.

Laxative abuse to aid weight loss can cause electrolyte imbalances and cause you to be unable to have a bowel movement without the use of a laxative. Believe it or not, they can be addicting.
