Quick..First aid please..? |
Toddler ran into cupboard. Thanks for your concern. Toddler is now laughing and alert not sick, dizzy etc. Not an A&E case but grateful for extra advice. Obviously I'll monitor the situation if any concern. The skin has remained on now bleeding has stopped - I wouldn't cut it off one crazy answer! Just wanted some reassurance I did the right thing. Put lump of skin back in place (it may heal, if not will just dry and drop off) cover with a dressing so little fingers can't do non-surgical removal of skin flap! I think you should get him to A&E for a check over. take them to doc.all head bumps should be investigated if you are concerned go to the hospital or call nhs direct. I would not cut skin off a toddlers head, what are you going to cut it with? You might end up causing an infection! If it is not too bad, cover it up with a bandage, the bit of skin will dry of its own accord in time. And do not put creams on an open wound! I agree with above go to A&E. I advise you ring the NHS helpline 0845 4647. They will be able to inform you whats best to do. dude go to the doctors. if u ran into a cupboard and had skin hanging off ur head u'd go! go this site and search shouldnt you be dealing with your child rather than logging into yahoo answers If I were you I'd be on my way to hospital not asking on here! A&E. NOW! I think that this requires a run to the doctors, or the a & e dont take chances. Make sure he stays alert, doesn't start vomiting..or stop eating or drinking..if so..get him to the Dr. ASAP. Glad to hear he is ok ,i've grabbed many times my kids and rushed to hospital and as I wait i can clearly see nothing is wrong ,one was my son hurt ankle and couldn't walk on it crying in pain ,im out door like shot and at hospital tears have dried and he's running up and down the place. Ouch!!!! um, you should let the skin on, it will heal and drop then grow new skin, put a tissue bandadge and wrap it around the head when the blood stopps dripping, wait a little before letting the cut take air and heal. But if it looks weird you should go see a doctor....... |
