Is it possible to attached AED pads to a woman's bra?

I mean as a cheaper way other than implantable cardioverters for ladies that had a heart defect. What do you guys think?

As a Paramedic I can tell you that there would be many, many reasons why this would be a horrific idea:
1. Just the inconvenience of carrying an external AED around for starters.
2. The placement of the pads would not work with a bra since you don't shock a woman through her breast.
3. the fact that external defibs. shock at much higher joules (electricity) which could cause a lot of other problems that I won't get into.
4. the cost of the AED and all the pads you would go through with this plan that wouldn't work.
5. And the main problem with the plan is that implanted AED's are actually automatic and will fire off when the heart is in a lethal rhythm....while an External AED has to be operated by a bystander.

An AED is a great tool if there is a live person around to use it so to have one would be great but not as part of a wardrobe.

It would not work The pads need to be placed in the correct spots side&chest they can't just be on the upper torso . If it's a wire bra the surge with just flow through the bra it would be pointless Report It
