A question about being nervous!?

Well first let me say that I have depression, im bi-polar and i have adhd. I have not been around many pepole in the last year and a half. I have been depressed since i was 11 [im 15 now]. When i do go outside, or meet someone new i get really irritated and nervous and i think pepole are always looking at me funny. When i get nervous my whole body starts sweating [ including my hands] so i can not shake anyones hand when i meet them lol. And my eyes start twitching, and i knoww that most pepole think im on crack. How can i meet new pepole and go outside the house without being irritated and nervous?? Any advice?? thanks

Congratulations because you have given the first step that is accepting it. You are too young don't missattend this problem, ask your parents to take you to some professional help, maybe some medication will really help, my mom got her first sympthoms when she was a teenager an nobody helped her and her life was misserable, if 60 years ago someone had cared about her and taken her to a professional her life would've been totally different. If you don't have confidence in your parents ask a teacher but do something about it. Medicine has advanced a lot.

Take baby steps. Don't just go right into a mall or somewhere and start trying to meet people. Start off maybe meeting someone new over at the home of someone you feel comfortable around.

Good luck.

Bipolar - Manic Depression

Manic depression is an inherited mental disease caused by a continual underproduction of serotonin as a result of a defect in the 27th lower right-hand side of the X chromosome. It is a recessive gene passed through the mother and can only be defeated by the Lord reordering the genetics to make it work properly again.

If God created X chromosome perfect from the foundation of the world, and if the devil, because of the generations of sin, mixed up the amino acid base that changed the genetics, God can change it back the way it was. The devil is not more powerful than God is. If Satan can mess up genetics, who do you think can fix it? We need to ask, "God, please change the genetics to perfection" and expect Him to do it.

But what if we don't ask? What if we had withdrawn with unbelief, doubt and fear? Do you think we would get that kind of a healing? No, I want to be just like a kid. "Daddy, I want a lollipop." What does the Bible say? Except ye be converted and become as a little child, you shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3

Have we become so sophisticated in our religiosity that we have forgotten how to simply trust the living God for our lives? Have we turned the immortal, invisible God into an intellectual concept? Do we serve God with our heads or do we serve God with our hearts?

Jeremiah 32:19 "Great in counsel, and mighty in work: for thine eyes are open upon all the ways of the sons of men; to give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings." Jeremiah said God is great in counsel and mighty in works. We choose what we shall have daily: blessings or curses, life or death.
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both you and your seed may live:" Deut. 30:19

Manic Depression/Bipolar Disorder is a genetic defect disease. It is a recessive gene passed down through the mother. This is a rollover of genetic defect. This defect produces a reduction in the secretion of serotonin.

Prozac is a serotonin enhancer. It doesn't increase the secretion of serotonin. It just keeps it out on the end of the dendrite in the nerve synapse longer, which balances the imbalance. It doesn't solve the problem.

Drugs do not solve problems. In fact, drugs can interfere with dealing with root problems because they mask the real issues. I don't tell people to get off their drugs; that would be the stupidest thing I ever could say. If you are taking prescription drugs and getting before God and dealing with the issues in your life, then under a doctor's supervision, you can get detoxified gradually. Your body will pitch a fit if you try to take away the new chemical reality that's been created by drug therapy. God created us perfect in Adam. In sin, we have become imperfect.

You are 15 and this began at 11 puberty. I copied this for you from a book "A More Excellent Way" written by Henry W. Wright.
God created us and He knows best how to heal us. Anxiety and fear with her panic attacks have completely left my daughter. She was carrying the spirit of her grandmother and she had to release it. Her grandmother suffered with Obsessive Compulsive Disorders and depression. She would not leave the house for years. It was after her grandmother's death when she developed a full blown panic attack.

Do you pray? Do you know Jesus as your Savior? If not, does anyone in the family know the Lord? Ask them to take what I have written to their pastor and let him pray over you.

I know how you feel!

When we get nervous and things happen in front of people it can play on our minds and we end up giving it too much thought. Like you say, we then start thinking people are looking at us sweating and things.

My advice is firstly, don't worry about what MIGHT happen in front of people because it probably wont. Live in the moment without thinking about what might happen.

If you do start to feel nervous, don't try and fight it. Let it come. When we fear it we tend to try and fight it. But just let it come, don't give it too much thought, and it will pass.

I will also say that there is no right or wrong way to be in front of people. Don't worry too much about what other people are thinking about you because we all have our own ways. So if you feel a bit twitchy or sweaty, don't worry about it. Just let it pass without focussing on whatever is happening too much.

I hope that advice helps!
